This position is Remote but does require you to travel nationwide extensively.

Pay rate is $50,000 to $68,000 (depending on location).

The role of the On-site Project Representative is to walk multiple store scopes (i.e. New Stores, Self-Checkout, Self-Service Fitting Rooms) to evaluate and ensure fixture and installation quality is met while reporting back quality issues through online systems. They act as a liaison between Stores and Corporate business partners. They also will occasionally travel to visit fixture vendor facilities and 3rd party fixture warehouses to evaluate fixture quality and process standards.

The responsibilities also encompass managing a travel schedule, fixture survey questions, and supports traveling to locations with other business partners when necessary. A key component of this role is understanding the Ross and dd’s brands and their current fixture programs, brand rules and fixture standards.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Reviews scope and goals defined by AutoCAD store plan and evaluates each component as a part of an in-store punch walk process. Validates project elements for completion, deficiencies, and possible variances from stated project scope, as needed.
  • Inspects site and reports project status based on scope of work slated for location. Highlights areas with defects and opportunities for improvement, as needed.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure collaboration and support for project success.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for day-to-day communications with Sr. Manager, Fixture Quality and other business partners related to punch walk process and project. elements.
  • Travel to visit fixture vendor production and warehouse facilities to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and evaluate the quality of finished goods.
  • Initiates daily & weekly communication, where appropriate, of responsibility completion via email, MS Teams and phone with business partners to ensure cross functional team is informed of project status.
  • Clearly articulates recommendations and best practices to ensure role is supportive of the Company’s objectives and helps create process improvements.
  • Completes reporting by location via online systems to support fixture quality issues and ensures proper communication to all business partners so corrective action can be taken (i.e. safety concerns) to support remedy and closeout.
  • Ensures timely completion of various reporting and administrative responsibilities such as updating fixture survey questions, travel schedule, booking travel in advance, submitting travel expenses for reimbursements and reclassing.
  • Provides leadership, motivation, direction, guidance, and support necessary to achieve company and program objectives.
  • Travels to site locations as dictated by schedule and project needs. Travel may vary as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree: or the equivalent of 3-5 years related retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in a retail setting not required but is a plus.
  • Experience reading and using floor plans is not required but is a plus.
  • Able to drive and has valid driver’s license and insurance as deemed necessary for position.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Able to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Proficiency to work autonomously and deliver accurate data on-time
  • High degree of reliability, including accountability for daily and weekly projects
  • Able to review, understand and interpret fixture assembly instructions
  • Ability to use a variety of tools to measure and capture fixture dimensions when necessary

Proficiency in the use of computers for:

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word and using an Apple iPad.

Working conditions

  • Job requires ability to work remote with high volume traveling, approximately 80% of the work week.
  • Onsite Project Representative must be able to travel nationwide extensively.
  • Work is typically performed in a non-standard workplace, not an office setting.
  • Onsite Project Representative works a standard work week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends to complete assignments.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
